Nutella Cookies (World’s Best Cookies)

I have finally found it: the perfect cookie.  I really cannot believe that it’s taken me seventeen and a half years to even attempt to make a Nutella cookie recipe.  But I have tried it out at last, and the result was absolutely beautiful.

Everybody in my family loves them, which almost never happens.  But something about these soft, luxurious cookies is universally appealing (unless you happen to be allergic to hazelnuts).  Enjoy!

  • 1 stick butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  In a large bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer till fluffy, then add sugars.  Add the egg, yolk and vanilla.  Once this is mixed, add 1/4 cup of the Nutella.

Add the flour, corn starch, baking soda and salt, then stir in the chips.  Finally, stir in the remaining Nutella, but only just, so that streaks of it can be seen in the dough.  Scoop the dough into lumpy balls, about 1 tablespoon.  Bake 10 minutes.
